My Boy Likes School
Yesterday, as I was driving home past the boy monkey's school after a fairly normal (ie. fairly traumatic) supermarket shopping trip with two girl monkeys, I realised I had exactly one hour to go home, get the girls out of the car, get the shopping out of the car, unpack the shopping, then get the girls back in the car* and be back at school to pick up the boy monkey. Why not just pick up the boy early?
I'll tell you why not. Because he will cry, and it will break my heart, and I will feel so guilty I will let him stay, and I will have to admit to his teacher I lied on the early release form, and then I will have to come back to school less then an hour later, and it will be icy cold and pouring with rain. That's why not.
*Sound easy? It's not.
TOTALLY UNRELATED CUTE STORY
The littlest monkey was wearing a skirt the other day, and she told me it was so she could do a skirtsy.

Well I think I might take credit for the skirtsying skills there....
Of course! Why else would one wear a skirt?
Absolutely full credit Stomper.
I like doing skirtsies too. Oh, and twirling so the boys can see my undies.
Skirtsies. A word I shall teach Margot with pleasure.
And I am glad your boy likes school. But that whole shopping , packing, unpacking etc etc - dements me!
*Hate* shopping with a passion - packing, unpacking, paying money for something that will end up in the toilet - hate it.
But I do like a bit of skirtsy-ing.
I have a boy just like that too. :o)
Dements is a lovely word. As is skirtsy. I love it. Don't envy the shopping trip though.
H&B is comments like that (ending up in the toilet) that make me love you.
Melinda, you don't envy me because you have to do it too...
FYI- On the shopping trip the littlest one insisted on wearing sparkling sequined dress-up shoes, and walking by her self, requiring us to stop about every 3 seconds, so she could put her shoes back on.
it's not is
It dements me too.
Never got over hating the shopping!
Love to see little girls Skirtsy!
