How lucky am I? I won some vintage fabric from the fabulous and generous Cintia at My Poppet, and as you can see, I've already used some.
I've also been to visit Cintia's little shop, and if you are over that side of town it is well worth a visit, the shop is gorgeous.
I was amazed when I saw your little trousers. My son has a quilt that my mother made for him about ten years ago with that fabric as the top. All sorts of jungle animals. Funny how you can instantly recognise something from just a small piece!
ReplyDeleteCute trousers! I'll have to pop by that shop next time I'm near there - looks great.
ReplyDeleteOnce again amazed and jealous of your talent. Love that stack of fabric. I've developed a fondness for all things vintage. Very eco-friendly too.
ReplyDeleteThe pants are fab! Yay for cute boy stuff, might need to commission some Cherub pants. Getting pretty sick of the boring trackie dacks he gets around in.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I swear my brother had something made of that fabric and he was born in 1977.
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic CraftyMum! Love the fabric. Can't wait to see it tonight.
ReplyDeleteI so wanted to win that fabric! I'm glad its gone to a good home and has been put to such great use.
ReplyDeleteCintia's shop is lovely, isn't it?
Wonderful use of that fabric!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your win!
Thanks everyone, the pants are going to be a gift, probably for my littlest nephew if they fit.
ReplyDeleteI am also amazed at some of the fabric that's quite ex-y now, I've seen the curtain fabric we had as kids in the 70's on ebay....
The nicest thing about using vintage fabrics is they usually come in small amounts, and it makes it hard to become bored, and easy to decide what to make, the fabric decides if you know what I mean.
Congratulations on your win. I agree, my poppet is certainly worth the stop. Happy Weekend
ReplyDeleteCute pants - love that blanket stitching on the pockets!
