So, my life drawing class was cancelled, and I bought a little sketch pad.

I found this apron at The Op Shop, it's for me because I like it, only I think it's so cute I can't bear to use it. Ideas for the cherry tablecloth feature on the next page in the sketch pad. I have forbidden myself from entering any op-shops for at least a month, because it is clear that I have become an
Underpants Gnome. Well, a buying shitloads of stuff at the op shop gnome anyway.
LOL! No, I don't think you've reached Underpants Gnome status yet. The Op Shop items are the palette of colors from which you'll paint your creations, so to speak. Also, you have a concrete plan for making money which goes beyond "Step 2: ?"
ReplyDeleteYou really scored with that apron! It's so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteLove the kids in the bath. Reminded me of my guys. They used to make horns, too :D
Maybe a safety net as well?
ReplyDeleteHandsome gnomes.
Ok the kids photos are very funny and yes put the rungs on.
ReplyDeleteLet's cut to the chase here though - please don't restrict yourself to sizes 1- 4. Close examination of your sketches reveals that I would want at least one of those dresses for Margot and she is a size 6.
OK?
OK.
Sketch it and dream it. Have a few test pieces, then go for it! You can do it!
ReplyDeleteI'll be your coach.
Nice to see you doing some boys' stuff in your sketches. Boys get so gipped in the cute clothing stakes.
ReplyDeleteAllydillydally is such a great name.
And no wonder Monkey#2 is open-mouthed at Monkey#3's climbing skills, I am as well.
Ummm... did I miss something?
ReplyDeleteHow come your life drawing classes were cancelled?
Aunty, I had one class, got all revved up, then the next week it was postponed, then the next week it was cancelled because the guy running the classes was busy!? (Got a refund, next time I'll do something at a neighbourhood house.)
ReplyDeleteI suppose I could manage 1-6.
Yes Stomper, boys clothes, tricky.
I was thinking that yellow with patchwork animals could be cute on a little boy.
Hi Crafty - it's me, nutmeg - finally able to comment!!!!!! (Thanls H&B)
ReplyDeleteLove the kids bath hairdos - I think my youngest's attempt at such a thing would be virtically challenged seeing she's yet to have a hair cut and she's just turned three.
(And thanks for your commet on my post about the meetup - it was all good in the end!)
Let's try that again - vertically challenged!
ReplyDeleteMonkeys. How appropriate. What little darlings. Rob used to hate that I made hair shapes with the kids hair while they were bathing. I told him I had earned my shot at making them look silly.... it's only for my benefit after all!
ReplyDeleteAw. I hate that your drawing classes were cancelled. I was looking forward to seeing more of your sketches!
So you have a keen climber, too!
ReplyDeleteThey look like 3 little acorns. So cute.
ReplyDeleteLove thrift shops!
ReplyDeleteCan you direct me to the pattern for the ladies top you posted on Nov. 7th? It's very beautiful and I think I might be up for trying something more difficult.
Lovely photo of the monkeys in the bath!
ReplyDeleteI would have died of fright before I could have taken that shot on the bunks!
Great sketches!
I still can't get over the sheer thrill of being able to leave a comment for you!
ReplyDelete(we have exactly that bunk bed);)
Hi Crafty, I'm using your site to test my google profile thing! Everything is run by bloody Google. Hope you are well and will be blogging again soon - I miss those crimes against craft.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I managed to miss this post until just now.
ReplyDeleteLove the sketches. And I *especially* love the comment down the bottom of the left-hand page! To which I say, "Amen".
Missing you!
